How to Get a Library Card

Residents of Blanco County may obtain a library card at no charge.  To receive a card, please bring proof of residency in Blanco County to the library; a current driver’s licence or other official document with your name and Blanco County address.

For children under sixteen years of age, the parent or guardian must assume responsibility for materials borrowed; therefore, it is the adult’s identification that is required for registration of a minor.

Check-outs are limited to two items until the patron has established a good return history.

Not a Blanco County resident?  You can still get a library card!  City employees and students attending schools in Johnson City can obtain a card at no charge even if they reside outside of Blanco county.  For all others requesting a card, we charge a small fee of $5.00 for borrowing privileges and access to our elibrary.
